FEASIBILITY STUDIES
For the Fayerweather Street School, we provided alternatives for the development
of the building in order to increase the property value prior to being put up
for sale. We explored varous options and recommended a development strategy that
did not require a zoning variance or other governmental relief.
PROGRAMMING
After several weeks of extensive interviews with the Senior Management of
George B.H. Macomber Company, we identified
their various work groups, developed diagrams illustrating options for
lay out of their offices, common areas, and open spaces.
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
Our clients look to us to understand their projects' aesthetic requirements
and to provide a design that is consistent with their desires. Our designs
have spanned three centuries of architectural design, including historic
preservation, traditional 19th and 20th century buildings, as well as current trends in
architecture.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
The Owner of 1734 Massachusetts Avenue was a first time developer and needed services
ranging from structural analysis of their building through move coordination.
We provided monthly schedule updates over the two-year project duration, including
tracking changes in the Owner's approach to the development of the property.
ZONING & PERMITTING
The Developer of 9-11 Winslow Street was one of several developers vying for this
property. We provided
services requiring zoning board, historic commision and neighbor approvals.
As with most projects over the past 25 years, we are able to expedite approvals
in a timely fashion.
INTERIORS
We provided ArsDigita Corporation with their interior design standards for
offices located throughout the United States. We selected all finish material,
colors, textures, custom millwork, workstations design, special finishes,
fabrics, furniture, and lighting.
FINANCIAL ANALYSIS
We provided these Weston homowners with an analysis of various options
for improving their house. These ranged from modest renovations, to
additions, to demolition and new construction. Following their review, we designed the
renovations and addition for their 6,000 square foot house.
FURNITURE SELECTION
We have provided furniture selection for many clients, including ArsDigita, Bentley
Publishing, Nelson Properties, Panache Restaurant, Pathology Services, Inc., and
Quintiles, Inc.
ESTIMATING
All of our projects, starting at the beginning, include estimates of construction
cost based on the client's programming requirements. We provide estimates
at several stages during a project, employing either in-house capabilities
or in consultation with General Contractors working with either union or
open shop craftspeople.
